POSTPONED – Annual Parish Meeting – 19 March 2020

Crowthorne Parish Council has taken the decision to postpone the Annual Parish Meeting which was scheduled for 19 March.

This meeting, often known as the Electors Meeting, is a statutory requirement to share with residents what the Parish Council has been working on, it’s future plans and provides people with an opportunity to pose questions to the Parish Councillors.

However, the Parish Council is very aware that many of the attendees are in, or work/volunteer with, some of the higher risk groups when considering COVID-19. Whilst the plans to put in place social distancing are not yet fully known in the UK, advice has also been sought from the senior Dr at Ringmead surgery and based on the current advice and latest risk assessment the Council decided that a postponement was the most sensible course of action.

The Parish Council are now looking at other dates further in to the future, when hopefully more will be known about the transmission and risks associated with this situation.

CVAG are continuing to monitor the situation regarding our AGM which is currently scheduled for 28 May.
