Crowthorne Village Action Group
CVAG protecting our village against urbanisation
Since Bracknell Forest Council approved the Site Allocations Development Plan Document (SADPD), despite vociferous objections across the Borough, we have now entered a further "consultation" phase. For this, organisations such as CVAG, and also individuals, are allowed to raise objections with BFC. These will eventually be passed on to the independent inspector who is required to approve the document - no doubt together with categoric rejections of our objections by the Planning Department. Objectors can ask to speak to the inspector; such meetings are usually informal and at the inspector's discretion.
The scope of the objections at this stage is limited to questions of legal compliance and soundness. This includes such matters as:
·
Consistency with national legislation and approved procedures
·
Justification by credible evidence
·
Appropriateness, particularly with regard to alternatives.
The CVAG Committee believe that the document is seriously flawed under a number of these headings, and intend to present an outline of the arguments to BFC by the deadline at the end of February. We will also try to meet the inspector. Since this is a legalistic process, it will involve trawling through the masses of documentation that the Planning Department has issued over the past three years. To this end the Committee is setting up a working party under Andy Holley. Anyone willing to assist in this work should contact Andy - press the "Contact Us" button above.
In addition to this we would recommend anyone who has valid objections to the SADPD to respond to BFBC themselves. You can request to speak to the inspector if you wish. You can access the documentation by the links provided by the "Documents">"Useful Documents" buttons. If you would like to share your objections with the CVAG Committee, please e-mail them to johnkb@CVAG.org.uk. Note that any relevant objections submitted in previous consultation phases will need to be submitted again if the are to be taken into account in the current phase.

Plans have been submitted for a 4 storey nursing home on Sandhurst Road. This does
seem inappropriately large for that location and local residents have concerns about
the extra traffic that would be generated.
